I appear to be moving up in the blogging world. Instead of two tags on one post, I have three! Next thing you know, I’ll be doing four tags, eight tags, sixteen tags, a hundred tags…
You get the idea.
Too bad there isn’t some award for how many tags you’ve done, because I’d be sure to win it.
The Happy Tag
Smile! It’s the first tag, and the rules are:
1. List 10 things that make you happy. (sharing pictures, writing poems, telling jokes, etc. are all encouraged, but not required.)
2. Tag 10 people who make you happy.
Ten things that make me happy:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
If you don’t like books,
What kind of kook are you?
2. Hot Ink
Or better yet, an inkappuccino.
3. Being Alone
Introverts unite! Separately, at home, alone.
4. Sitting on Mariposa
I feel like this one should be self-explanatory.
5. My Tail
It’s very good for whacking stupid people.
Free lunch anyone?
There’s nothing quite like winning.
8. Paper Ice Cream
I promise I don’t only think of my stomach…oh wait, maybe I do.
9. Cuddling with Mariposa on a cold day
I guess she isn’t so bad…
10. The Blogger Who Tagged Me
The lovely Eden!
10 things that make Mariposa happy:
1. Story Embers
The place that stole her heart and hasn’t given it back (she almost loves it as much as she loves me!).
2. Walt Disney World
It’s the happiest place on earth, after all.
I always wear sunglasses when I visit her house.
4. Children’s Books
Write for children, read about children, act like children (in Mariposa’s case).
Don’t tell her I ate her last letter by mistake. I thought it was a short story.
6. Animated Films
She means Disney.
Where people spend hours rearranging books…
Her friends call her “the maker of never-ending desserts.”
For some reason she doesn’t like me riding with her—I wonder why?
No matter what she says, I didn’t knock down the tree.
The Music Tag
A music artist, Chalice, tagged me and Mariposa for this rocking challenge!
1. Write ten songs that come on shuffle (no skipping).
2. Write your favorite lyric from each song.
3. Tag some people.
1. “How Much” by Mandisa
“Take the depths of the deepest ocean and go deeper, take the tops of the tallest tower and go higher, take the best day that you ever had; try to imagine better than that, and it still don’t come close to, how much you are loved.”
Wow, I’m loved that much? I know I’m adorable, but I didn’t think I was that adorable.
2. “One Word” by PureNRG
“If you really want to solve a mystery, see who you’re really meant to be, is brother to a brother in need, every, every, day.”
Mariposa and I haven’t listened to this one in eons. Actually, I’ve never listened to it because she grew up on this music group, and that was before she met me.
3. “White Christmas” by Micheal Buble
“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know, where the treetops glisten, and the children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow.”
Christmas doesn’t get much better than Micheal Bublé, unless it’s Crosby, or Amy Grant, or Burle Ives or…
4. “Joy to the World” by Point of Grace
“Joy to the world, the Savior reigns! Let men their songs employ; white hills and floods, rocks hills and plains, repeat the sounding joy.”
Our playlist apparently knows what’s coming next month.
5. “Why Do I Do” by Jump5
“Why do I do the things I do? Sometimes I feel like I am so insecure. If I could learn a thing or two from you, then popular opinion I could ignore.”
Mariposa is feeling nostalgic again. Anyone else listen to this in their youth?
6. “Never Runs Dry” by Hawk Nelson
“Your goodness is following me, your mercy is my covering, your love is holding my life.”
I wish my creativity never ran dry…
7. “Let it Out” by ZoeGirl
“I’m in over my head, but I’m not afraid to dive deep and make some waves.”
If you were a dinosaur with tiny arms and can’t swim, then you would be afraid!
8. “Good” by Matthew West and Leigh Nash
“Can you hear us cry, wishing we could turn back time? Feel Your breath when branches move, take one one more sunset walk with You. Must each tomorrow hold, such brokenness untold?”
I’m not crying. That’s just me rinsing my face.
9. “Wildfire” by OBB
“I don’t wanna live to be another shooting star that shines for a moment and then in the end just falls apart. I wanna live a life that brings You glory, be the one who tells Your story.”
Shooting stars must suffer from anxiety.
10. “Little Drummer Boy” by Aly & AJ
“I played my drum for Him, pa rum pum pum pum, I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum, He smiled at me.”
Our playlist is in a merry mood.
Share Your Passion Tag
For this tag, we were tagged by a passionate writer, Jenna!
• Repost the #ShareYourPassion logo on your post.
• Tag the blogger’s site that nominated you.
• Share a bit about your passion(s): Hobbies outside of blogging. What would you like to accomplish with them? How could you use your passion(s) to be a blessing to others and show them the God’s love?
• Nominate ten other bloggers.
First off, my passions:
Sitting on people. Maybe y’all think this is a little weird, but it’s a meaningful hobby. You humans are so lazy and arrogant, you need someone to annoy you once in while. Besides, it teaches you patience and God encourages that.
Eating books. Most people think this is monstrous, but I’m actually doing writers a favor. By taste-testing their books, they know what’s rotten and what tastes good!
Helping writers. I’m just a dinosaur, and publishers don’t accept stuff from overgrown lizards. I may never be published, but if I can help one of you (or Mariposa) to, I won’t feel so bad.
Secondly, Mariposa’s passions:
Art. She was born drawing. Even before she ever had an inkling to be a writer, she wanted to be an artist. She loves melding it with storytelling, bringing characters to life on the page and using paint to tell a story.
Writing. Although art were her roots, she enjoys writing a teeny bit more because stories are a part of her soul.
Baking. At Christmas (or really anytime) she gives plates of her cookies, scones, or brownies to friends and family. The smiles on their faces drive her to make more. (Truthfully, I think she’s just on a mission to make everyone fat).
What We Hope to Accomplish
Mariposa and I may be a little silly. Her stories are kooky, my humor is offending (not intentionally, mind you). But together, with a little bit of love and dedication, we can use our (unusual) talents to bring a smile to someone’s cloudy day—to remind them that there’s still such a thing as joy in this world, and point them to the Creator of joy.
I’m tagging all the happy, musical, and passionate bloggers out there—do whatever of the three tags you want!
Kudos to those who actually read through all these tags and my answers.
