The Voted Most Likely Tag

Tags are fun. Tags are entertaining. Tags are something I’ve been posting a lot lately. Well, if you don’t like it, blame the people who tagged me. If you do like it, then thank the people who tagged me. Speaking of which, I humbly thank Jenna for this tag!

The rules:

1. Thank the blogger who tagged you.

2. Include this link:

3. Use your own lovely or unlovely original characters; don’t use a friend’s characters or characters from your favorite fandom. Try to use as many different characters as possible.

4. Tag at least five bloggers.

I’m going to break the rules and not list my own characters because the only thing my characters are most likely to do is nothing.

But hey, the rules never said I couldn’t list my boss’s original characters.*

Most Likely to Become a Poet

Apparently INFJs don’t like to create characters who will become poets (see Jenna’s post).

Most Likely to Dance in the Rain

Sonny (the one in the yellow raincoat) is a southern eight-year-old boy with an odd sense of logic. He isn’t likely to dance in the rain; he already did. Here’s a snippet I stole from my boss’s desk: Dave rolled his eyes. He couldn’t figure out why anyone would want to stand out in the rain. But Sonny was not anyone. He happened to like rain. The puddles sparkled and the breeze invited such a sense of adventure that he couldn’t help but build a mud castle or stick spaceship.

Most Likely to Look Good in a Kilt

If you told him he would look good in a kilt, soon afterward you would feel envious of a deaf person. A kilt is entirely unrussian and that would make him mad. But that’s because he’s the mad Russian from Mariposa’s retelling of The Nutcracker (she’s hoping to start working on it this year, but we’ll see).

Most Likely to Get Punched in the Face

The short guy with too much hair who Mariposa still needs to name. He’s inspired by Bonanza’s Little Joe—he could easily write a book on “The 101 Ways to Get in a Fight without Trying.”

Most Likely to Drop Everything and Become a Sheep Herder

Mavi, a Giganotosaurus. He’d give anything to be a sheep herder. That is, if he knew what sheep were (dinosaurs don’t come across sheep very often, FYI).

Most Likely to be Found in a Library

Dave (the one reading, obviously) likes reading books more than I love eating them. He’s the older and more logical brother to Sonny. He always has his nose in a book, but not with a far-off look.

Most Likely to Sleep Through an Earthquake

Oof from Mariposa’s time travel series (yes, that’s his name). He actually did sleep through an earthquake. Or almost. Until she cut that part of her book.

Most Likely to Steal Food from Other People’s Plates

The big, unnamed, silent cowboy (also from the western novel—currently it is the book with no names). He’s based off of Hoss from Bonanza who has a notorious appetite.

Most Likely to Cheat on a Test

Ronald, Oof’s older brother. He’d do anything to get to the top. Too bad he’s scared of heights.

Most Likely to Say “Oops” After Setting Something on Fire

Sorry to repeat a character, but Oof would definitely say oops after setting a fire. He’d say oops after setting off an avalanche. He’d say oops after almost drowning you. He’d say oops after everything, because almost everything he does is an oops.

As he himself once said, “Don’t trust me, the worst will happen.”

Most Likely to Open an Orphanage

Henry, a benevolent, personable boy from Mariposa’s retelling of The Prince and the Pauper. He grew up an orphan even though he wasn’t an orphan. Explanation in book.

Most Likely to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse

Dr. Colin Digfield (the perfect name for a paleontologist because they “dig fields”). I reckon if he can survive a murderer’s attack, a Baryonx slashing at his sleeve, and nearly getting stomped on by the world’s largest Theropod, the Zombie Apocalypse oughta be heaven.

Most Likely to Fake Their Own Death

The father in Mariposa’s time travel series. I’m not sure this really counts, because he’s not really the type to fake his own death, but he did due to some time complications.

Most Likely to Die and Haunt Friends

The villain in the third book of Mariposa’s time travel series. Most likely some friend would kill him and that would be why he haunted them. Plus, he’s evil and that’s as good of a reason as any to be a haunt.

Most Likely to Get Tagged

Dinoelle Dinodray

Audreyosaurus Cayex

Gabrielle Pollackiosaurus

*Authorosaurus’s note: Some of these characters are in the brainstorming phase, so by the time they’re fully developed, they may not be so likely to be or to do what they were likely to be or do.

  1. Every time I see this tag, it’s hilarious.

I love all of these characters! Tell Mariposa that she’s done a good job! *nodnod* And, I mean, if she’s sick of them for messing up all the time, she’s a writer and has permission to torture them. (Steal their ice-cream. Works every time.)

    1. I will pass that along to my boss. 😉 She’s actually tried taking away their ice cream, but then they just go eat cake instead. She took cake away and then they ate candy. She took candy away and then I sat on them and they haven’t given her trouble since. ;P
